BARR DEFENDS 8CHAN BEFORE CONGRESS
First Amendment Implications
(1) I'll be advancing Project Veritas Action Fund's First Amendment rights in federal court in Columbus, Ohio tomorrow with Maurice Thompson. At issue is whether a state can, consistent with the First Amendment, pass a law that forbids one from reporting information gained in a political campaign to another party (say, a newspaper or media entity). Under the First Amendment, states have no power to prohibit citizen journalists investigating those who seek powerful public office. We expect a swift victory in days ahead.

(3) Benjamin Barr defended the popular 8chan imageboard before Congress on September 5. At issue is the preservation of First Amendment rights for online platforms and publishers. Read the earlier congressional packet here.
